It was great to see our new Junior Pennants Team make it into the finals of the Junior Pennant Division 3 Group. They have done a great job to get to where they have in their first Pennant year.
The semifinal was held on Sunday 7th July at North Haven. The team played Thaxted Park and won 3 of 5 games and thus progressing to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final was held at West Lakes Golf course on Sunday 14th July where they played against Westward Ho Golf Club.
Unfortunately our team lost to Westward Ho 4 1/2 games to 1/2 game.
It is not easy to play in a Match-play finals competition and whilst they were disappointed on the day, we would hope that these young players will look back on their achievements with pride in what they have achieved. They have all earned the respect from those who were able to witness these finals and indeed the respect from the whole of North
Haven Golf Club.
Congratulations to Tyler Moore, Szymon Domagala, Jaeda Burke, Maddie Letts, Ethan Hunter and Juliette Lawler.
They have also been great ambassadors for the club in the way they have played and behaved on and off the course.
Congratulations also to Christine Burton for her hard work in getting the Juniors into the Pennants Competition and then into the Finals.
